CommonWell Health Alliance, a coalition of health IT vendors and healthcare providers seeking to achieve industry wide interoperability, has announced the addition of four new general members to the group.
Two of the new members, Caremerge and T-System, are IT companies. Caremerge is a cloud-based coordination platform focused on improving senior wellness, and T-System specializes in emergency department care documentation and financial outcomes.
The other two joining members are health information exchanges. Michigan Health Information Network Shared Services is the official state-designated entity for HIEs throughout Michigan, and it connects with the national e Health Exchange operated by HealtheWay. Texas Health Services Authority is a public-private partnership that enables connectivity between authorized HIE networks between agencies in Texas and between Texas and other nationwide networks.
