The following health IT vendor contracts and go-lives were reported within the past week.
1. Armonk, N.Y.-based IBM Watson Health and New York City-based Pfizer collaborated to use the Watson for Drug Discovery platform to accelerate Pfizer's research in immuno-oncology therapies.
2. Boston-based American Well joined forces with New York City-based Tyto Care to merge both companies' video telehealth visits and comprehensive remote patient examinations.
3. Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada released CHEO MyChart, which enables patients and families to access their medical records through a computer or mobile device. CHEO MyChart is part of Epic Systems' EHR system.
4. Indianapolis-based Community Health Network expanded its working relationship with Boston-based Kyruus, which provides software to match patients with physicians.
5. Sleepy Eye (Minn.) Medical Center went live on the Meditech 6.1 EHR system at midnight Dec. 1.
6. Kingsport, Tenn.-based Holston Medical Group teamed up with 2bPrecise, a wholly owned subsidiary of Allscripts, to implement its cloud-based genomics and precision medicine solution.
7. Boston Children's Hospital and General Electric Healthcare, a subsidiary of General Electric, teamed up to create a software that will help physicians interpret the brain scans of young patients more accurately.
8. NTT Data partnered with Imbio, a medical imaging software company, to develop analytic algorithms for lung care.
9. IBM unveiled a new consulting platform to provide businesses across the globe with guidance on industry-specific Internet of Things adoption challenges.
10. Reno, Nev.-based start-up Hummingdoc created a stethoscope adapter called hummingdoc flip, which allows users to record heart and lung sounds on their smartphone.
