A dose of feel good to kick off the weekend.
A Los Angeles physician on a flight from Taiwan after her honeymoon delivered a baby on the plane, according to an ABC7 report.
Here are four things to know about the delivery.
1. The mother went into labor six hours into the flight, and UCLA resident physician Angelica Zen, MD, stepped in to help, according to the report. Dr. Zen, whose training is in internal medicine pediatrics, had never delivered a baby by herself.
2. Dr. Zen speaks Mandarin and was able to talk to the mother.
3. Of the experience, Dr. Zen told ABC7, "I was relieved the baby looked very healthy. And I was very happy for the mom as well."
