Healthcare access and data company DexCare has been selected to work on a three-year, $40 million Amazon Web Services health equity initiative.
Through the partnership, AWS will offer expertise to organizations looking to work on increasing access to health services for underserved communities, addressing social determinants of health, and leveraging data to promote more equitable and inclusive systems of care, according to the Oct. 3 DexCare news release.
DexCare joins the AWS initiative as it rolls out its new solution to provide language translation services to telehealth companies for patients who do not speak English.
"Access to care is a key factor exacerbating systemic disparities, and solving this access challenge is our north star at DexCare," DexCare CEO Derek Streat said. "Together with AWS, we can empower health systems as stewards of equitable care for the entire community. Connecting these systems to digital data-driven solutions will optimize clinical and operational resources, address clinician burnout, and deliver the highest quality and most affordable patient care."
