WCH Service Bureau, a private revenue cycle management company in Brooklyn, N.Y., revealed a new RCM service for medical practices.
The service, WCH Second Opinion Internal Billing Audit, is designed to help practices eliminate defective billing practices to maximize reimbursement and reduce denied claims. The offering is also designed to ensure staff is adequately trained and remain compliant with federal regulations.
"If your claims are being denied, you could be leaving many thousands of dollars of revenue on the table every year," WCH Service Bureau COO Olga Khabinskay said. "Every medical practice should be auditing its billing practices annually to make sure everyone involved with billing, both internal staff and outside vendors, is staying up-to-date, keeping comprehensive records and complying with the latest rules and regulations for each insurer."
WCH said its Second Opinion analysis includes looking at various areas, such as "claims submission cycle," "posted, partially paid and denied claims," and "claims affected by insurance policy revisions," among others.
