Cleveland-based University Hospitals operating income rose 10.6 percent year over year to $93.6 million in 2015, following the addition of three new hospitals to its network, according to the system's annual report.
University Hospitals benefitted from patient volume growth attributable to its newly acquired Ohio facilities, which include UH St. John Medical Center in Westlake, UH Portage Medical Center in Ravenna and UH Samaritan Medical Center in Ashland.
The system said operating revenues increased to nearly $3.3 billion in 2015, up 11.9 percent from operating revenues of $2.9 billion the year prior.
