Patient sues Washington hospital, RCM partner over delayed medical claims

A Washington man filed suit against Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland, Wash., and its revenue cycle management partner, Cardon Outreach, claiming the organizations improperly issued medical liens against him and delayed reimbursing him for medical claims, Legal NewsLine reports.

Andrew Grego filed a class action lawsuit in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Washington Nov. 14. According to the complaint, Mr. Grego suffered monetary damages as a result of the hospital and revenue cycle management provider delaying payment of his medical claims.

The plaintiff also alleges the defendants misled him by sending invalid liens.

Mr. Grego seeks restitution and treble damages up to $25,000 per claim.
