After making significant financial and leadership changes, Pauls Valley (Okla.) General Hospital was able to get out of bankruptcy last week, according to a Pauls Valley Democrat report.
The process took nearly three years, and Pauls Valley General Hospital CEO Nathan Staggs is pleased with the accomplishment.
"The biggest thing is we no longer have to have the oversight of the court," he told the Pauls Valley Democrat. "It's a big hurdle that we overcame."
With the hospital out of bankruptcy, it will be able to negotiate better contracts with vendors for supplies and rely less on the city for financial support in the future.
