Among the major for-profit hospital operators, Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems saw the greatest decrease in share price at 5.2 percent.

- HCA Healthcare (Nashville, Tenn.): $86.14 per share (down 1.2 percent)
- LifePoint Health (Brentwood, Tenn.): $65.45 per share (down 2.5 percent)
- Tenet Healthcare (Dallas): $18.65 per share (down 3.6 percent)
- Universal Health Services (King of Prussia, Pa.): $122.14 per share (down 0.04 percent)
