Among the major for-profit hospital operators, Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems saw the greatest decrease in share price at 8.9 percent.

- LifePoint Health (Brentwood, Tenn.): $57.44 per share (down 2.4 percent)
- Tenet Healthcare (Dallas): $14.34 per share (up 2.1 percent)
- Universal Health Services (King of Prussia, Pa.): $107.99 per share (up 0.3 percent)
