Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems saw the largest increase in share price, with shares rising 5.1 percent last week.
King of Prussia, Pa.-based Universal Health Services saw its share price rise 0.5 percent last week, the least of any of the major for-profit hospital operators.

- Community Health Systems (Franklin, Tenn.): $13.75 per share (up 5.1 percent)
- HCA Holdings (Nashville, Tenn.): $78.14 per share (up 0.6 percent)
- LifePoint Health (Brentwood, Tenn.): $66.81 per share (up 0.6 percent)
- Tenet Healthcare (Dallas): $28.91 per share (up 0.6 percent)
- Universal Health Services (King of Prussia, Pa.): $135.38 per share (up 0.5 percent)
