CMS will host a call later this month to keep fee-for-service providers up to speed on changes to the Medicare appeals process.
The agency and the Office of Medicare Hearings and Appeals will use the call to discuss the HHS Medicare Appeals Final Rule, which was published in January, CMS said in its call announcement.
"Learn about changes intended to streamline the administrative appeal processes, reduce the backlog of pending appeals, and increase consistency in decision making across appeal levels," the announcement states.
The call, scheduled for 1 to 3 p.m. ET June 29, will include a presentation as well as a question and answer session.
More information on the final rule is available here. Register for the call here.
