Officials with Tennessee's Medicaid program, TennCare, said they are nearing an agreement with CMS to extend the state's expired 1115 waiver, reports The Tennessean.
Ongoing negotiations center on the structure of uncompensated care funds as described in the waiver.
TennCare leaders and federal officials both indicated they hope to get the waiver and funding pools finalized before President-elect Donald Trump's administration is sworn in Jan. 20.
