Here are nine updates from revenue cycle management companies.

1. RiversideUniversityMedicalCenter in Moreno Valley, Calif., extended its contract with revenue cycle agency Hospital Billing & Collection Services.
2. Valley Baptist Medical Center-Harlingen (Texas) and Valley Baptist Medical Center-Brownsville (Texas) partnered with MDsave for price transparency services.
3. Cincinnati-based Mercy Health will utilize VitalWare's revenue cycle management tools.
4. Payment software provider Elavon released updates to its Payment Navigator system to help providers improve patient financial experience.
5. Carrick Capital Partners invested $50 million in InstaMed, a healthcare payment processing platform, to fund innovation initiatives and market strategy. 
6. In its annual survey, Black Book Research named ZirMed the leading vendor for revenue cycle management software in large hospitals over 200 beds and academic medical centers.
7. Signature Performance confirmed winning a group purchasing agreement for billing and debt collection services with Premier, a group purchasing organization.
8. San Francisco-based Canopy Health selected Conifer Health Solutions to provide financial risk and population health management services
9. Badger Billing Services will close its doors in the first quarter of 2017.
