Clearwater, Fla.-based BayCare Health System recorded operating income of nearly $284.7 million in 2015, up more than 7 percent from $265.9 million the year prior.
The 14-hospital system posted revenue of $3.3 billion in 2015, up from revenue of just under $3 billion in 2014.
Baycare said operating expenses grew to $3 billion last year, up 11.6 percent from $2.7 billion the year prior. The system's expenses related to salaries and benefits jumped 12.1 percent year over year to $1.7 billion in 2015. The system also saw its supply costs spike last year.
Baycare ended 2015 with net income of $239 million, down from $357.6 million in 2014.
