6 hospital CFOs in the headlines

Here are six hospital and health system CFOs who were in the news this week.

1. Milwaukee-based Aurora Health Care CFO Gail Hanson was in the news discussing the system's decision to raise its rates in 2017.

2. Tyler Murphy was in the news as he was named executive vice president of finance and CFO of Toronto, Canada-based Medical Facilities Corp.

3. Steve Short, executive vice president and CFO of Tampa (Fla.) General Hospital was in the news as he was named acting president and CEO of the hospital after Jim Burkhart resigned unexpectedly.

4. John Katsianis was in the news as he resigned as CFO of Decatur, Ga.-based DeKalb Medical Center.

5. ProMedica CFO Michael Browning was in the news discussing how the Toledo, Ohio-based system is navigating growing RCM challenges in healthcare.  

6. John Orsini, senior vice president and CFO of Chicago-based Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, was in the news discussing the system's ACO.
