Construction is complete on the new Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, N.D., according to a Valley News Live report.
2. Peconic Bay Medical Center's $60M expansion receives final approval
Riverhead, N.Y.-based Peconic Bay Medical Center's three-story, $60 million proposed expansion received unanimous approval from the Riverhead Town Board Tuesday, according to the Riverhead News-Review.
3. Holyoke Medical Center to increase ED capacity with new facility
Holyoke (Mass.) Medical Center plans to open a new emergency department in May or June, according to a report on BusinessWest.com.
4. Medistar, Bay Area Regional Medical Center partner to build ASC
Houston-based Medistar and Webster, Texas-based Bay Area Regional Medical Center partnered to build an ambulatory surgery center in Gemini, Ill., according to the Houston Chronicle.
5. Greenville Health System, Clemson University partner on nursing, research building
Greenville (S.C.) Health System and Clemson (S.C.) University partnered on a $31.5 million, 78,255-square-foot collaborative research building to be housed on the health system's Greenville (S.C.) Memorial Medical campus, according to the Daily Nurse.
6. LifeCare opens 49-bed behavioral health hospital
LifeCare Hospitals of Pittsburgh opened a freestanding, 49-bed adult behavioral health hospital at LifeCare's long-term acute care facility in Wilkinsburg, Pa., Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
7. Swedish Covenant Hospital renovates ED
Chicago-based Swedish Covenant Hospital began renovating its emergency department in late 2016. The project includes modernizing approximately 16,755 square feet of existing facilities and the addition of new ED rooms.
8. SCL Health Community Hospital – Northglenn opens to patients
Broomfield, Colo.-based SCL Health has opened a new hospital in Northglenn, Colo.
9. Northwell Health opens heart treatment hospital at North Shore University Hospital
New Hyde Park, N.Y.-based Northwell Health opened the Sandra Atlas Bass Heart Hospital at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, N.Y.
