4. Kaiser Permanente opens first new medical center in San Diego County since 1975
Oakland, Calif.-based Kaiser Permanente opened its $850 million San Diego Medical Center in April, reports The San Diego Union-Tribune.
5. The Valley Hospital to build $735M facility: 4 things to know
The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, N.J., in January announced plans to construct a new facility in Paramus, N.J., for an estimated $735 million, according to Healthcare Design Magazine.
6. MedStar Georgetown University Hospital to build $567M surgical pavilion by 2021
Washington, D.C.-based MedStar Georgetown University Hospital received approval from D.C.'s Zoning Commission in early June to go ahead with its planned $567 million surgical pavilion, according to the Washington Business Journal.
7. SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital and physician group to build $550M academic medical center
SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital and St. Louis-based SLUCare Physician Group in February announced plans to embark on a $550 million academic medical center and ambulatory care center in St. Louis.
8. $500M hospital in North Dakota to open this summer: 3 things to know

9. Lutheran Health Network plans $500M investment
Fort Wayne, Ind.-based Lutheran Health Network, a subsidiary of Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems, will pursue a multiyear $500 million capital investment plan for nearly all of its facilities, according to a wane.com report.
