1. Fremont Health opens urgent care clinic
Fremont (Neb.) Health plans to open a new urgent care clinic on Jan. 30, according to a report in the Fremont Tribune.
2. Advocate Sherman gets OK from state to build $12.7M outpatient surgery center
The state of Illinois gave Elgin, Ill.-based Advocate Sherman Hospital the green light to break ground on a $12.7 million same-day ambulatory surgery center, the Daily Herald reported.
3. Shannon Medical Center, Angelo State University to build sports medicine clinic
San Angelo, Texas-based Shannon Medical Center and Angelo State University, also in San Angelo, declared their intent to build an on-campus sports medicine clinic, according to the Standard Times.
4. Cobalt Medical Development plans $20M rehabilitation hospital for El Paso
Dallas-based Cobalt Medical Development is building a two-story, $20 million rehabilitation hospital in El Paso, Texas, to address the city's rehabilitation bed shortage, El Paso Times reports.

Six months before patients are expected to move in, Dayton (Ohio) Children's Hospital has increased the scope of the expansion of its 260,000-square-foot patient tower, according to the Dayton Business Journal.
7. Peconic Bay Medical Center gains approval for 3-story addition
Riverhead, N.Y.-based Peconic Bay Medical Center/Northwell Health won town board approval of its preliminary site plan for the hospital's proposed three-floor expansion, Newsday reports.

Kenosha, Wis.-based Aurora Health Care announced plans to build a $130 million ambulatory surgery center and physician office building near Aurora Medical Center in Kenosha.
12. Mercy Health's $271M medical center on track for 2019 completion
Favorable weather conditions allowed construction workers who are building Muskegon, Mich.-based Mercy Health's $271 million new medical center to make up for lost days in the beginning of winter, according to MLive.com.
