1. Allina Health plans to invest $103M in facility upgrades following Mercy-Unity merger
Minneapolis-based Allina Health System plans to spend about $103 million over the next several years on facility upgrades and infrastructure improvement projects as part of its recently announced plan to merge MercyHospital in Coon Rapids, Minn., and UnityHospital in Fridley, Minn., under one license, according to the Star Tribune.
2. UConn Health debuts new $318M tower
UConn Health, based in Farmington, Conn., opened its new 11-floor, $318 million tower at UConn John Dempsey Hospital.
3. Inspira to pump $100k into study of hospital campus
Woodbury, N.J.-based Inspira Health Network, the Gloucester County Improvement Authority and the City of Woodbury partnered to create a redevelopment study of Inspira's Woodbury hospital campus, according to a report on NJ.com.

5. Novant Health, UVA rename facilities upon JV completion
Since finalizing their joint venture in January, Winston-Salem, N.C.-based Novant Health and Charlottesville-based University of Virginia Health System are renaming their facilities to reflect the new partnership, according to the Washington Business Journal.
6. Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital begins construction on new treatment space
Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital in Wheaton Ill., part of Chicago-based Northwestern Medicine, recently began construction on the new Tellabs Center for Neurorehabilitation and Neuroplasticity.
7. RWJ Somerset opens new laboratory service center
Somerville, N.J.-based Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset has opened a new Laboratory Patient Service Center at the Steeplechase Cancer Center in Somerville.
8. Judge gives Boston Children's OK on plans to build over Prouty Garden
A judge's decision on May 9 will allow Boston Children's Hospital to go ahead with its controversial plans to build a new $1 billion clinical tower over the healing Prouty Garden, according to The Boston Globe.
9. Memorial Hospital plans $22M expansion
Less than a month after opening its $124 million satellite hospital in Shiloh, Ill., Belleville, Ill.-based MemorialHospital disclosed plans for a $22 million expansion to the new facility, according to the St. Louis Business Journal.
10. 10 Mich. health centers to receive $1M each in federal funds for facility upgrades
Ten healthcare organizations in Michigan are receiving $1 million each in federal grant money to support facility renovation, expansion or construction, according to an mlive.com report.
