Albuquerque, N.M.-based Lovelace Health System launched an Epic EMR across all clinics and hospitals Aug. 25.
The Epic EMR replaces 80 software systems across the health system, including billing, clinical, registration and scheduling solutions. Officials from Lovelace Health System and its parent company Nashville, Tenn.-based Ardent Health Services began the process to implement Epic in 2016.
Lovelace Health System's Aug. 25 go-live marks the first health system under Ardent Health Services to deploy Epic. Amarillo, Texas-based BSA Health System and Tulsa, Okla.-based Hillcrest HealthCare System will launch the EMR in the next six months.
