Hackers breached the private medical records at Trenton Psychiatric Hospital in Trenton, N.J. and Anne Klein Forensic Center in Trenton, N.J., according to an Aug. 20 report from NJ.com.
Patients affected by the data breach received a letter letting them know what information may have been compromised. The state of New Jersey was first notified about the breach on June 30.
Hackers obtained a limited amount of information that was being held by an outside company, according to NJ.com.
A call center has been set up for patients to determine if they were affected.
