Nursing home RN wages continue to increase in 2016

The hourly wages for registered nurses in nursing homes increased by 2.86 percent in 2016, according to Hospital & Healthcare Compensation Service's 2016-2017 Nursing Home Salary & Benefits Report.

From 2014 to 2015, RN wages rose by 1.27 percent, according to the report.While pay has increased, so has turnover, rising from 27.55 percent in 2014 to 29 percent in 2015 and 31.17 percent in 2016.

The percent increase represents the facilities that participated in HHCS' 2015 and 2016 reports. The 2016-2017 Nursing Home Salary & Benefits Report includes 2,076 nursing home participants covering 155,300+ employees.
