Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Holdings CEO and CFO saw their base salaries and total compensation increase in 2015.
HCA Chairman and CEO R. Milton Johnson's base salary grew to $1.28 million in 2015, up from $1.09 million the year prior, according to a Securities and Exchange Commission filing. His total compensation jumped to $17.76 million last year, up 21.5 percent from $14.63 million in 2014.
For 2015, 91 percent of Mr. Johnson's total direct compensation — which includes salary, actual annual incentive payouts and the grant date fair value of annual equity grants — was performance-based pay.
HCA Executive Vice President and CFO William B. Rutherford's base salary increased 19 percent year over year to $714,570 in 2015. His total compensation was $4.16 million last year, up from $3.13 million in 2014.
