Niceville-based HCA Florida Twin Cities Hospital will double the capacity of its emergency department in an $8.5 million project, CBS affiliate WKRG reported Oct. 5.
The expansion will add 3,000 square feet and renovate the existing 9,000 square feet. It will include six new exam rooms and three new fast-track rooms. Currently serving 30,000 patients annually with 10 beds, the hospital will likely double the number of patients staff can treat yearly with the expansion, according to WKRG.
Construction will begin immediately and is slated to wrap in December 2023.
