Los Angeles-based Keck Medicine opened a new cancer center in Newport Beach, Calif., to expand its oncologic services, the system said in an email shared with Becker's.
The 33,000-square-foot offices consist of an oncology clinic with 24 rooms, an infusion center with 32 semiprivate rooms and two fully private bays for patients with longer infusions or cold caps, according to the April 6 release.
"Dealing with cancer is stressful, and we want to create the best patient experience possible," said Louis VanderMolen, MD, a medical oncologist with Keck Medicine. "Our patients' comfort and peace of mind — and that of their loved ones — is an essential part of their treatment."
