A Nevada behavioral health provider and its owner were ordered to pay restitution after being found guilty of Medicaid fraud, the state attorney general's office said Sept. 28.
Shanna Mayer, 44, and her business, Forevermore Behavioral Health, billed Medicaid excessively for services never rendered to clients between April 2018 and April 2019, according to a news release from the attorney general's office. Ms. Mayer also used falsified degrees she bought online to qualify as a Medicaid provider.
Ms. Mayer was ordered to pay $50,000 and her company was ordered to pay $300,000, the release said.
