Mr. Joslin, who has served as Community Medical Centers CEO since 2005, was arrested for felony domestic violence after the Aug. 24 incident. Fresno County Superior Court records say he was released from jail after he posted $25,000 bail.

In a Clovis police report, the woman said after having dinner with Mr. Joslin Aug. 24, she told him she wanted to end their relationship. She told police that Mr. Joslin grew upset and said he’d bought her an iPhone. She said she didn’t want the phone and proceeded to leave. As she walked away, she said Mr. Joslin hit her in the back of the head with the iPhone in its box.

In the police report, Mr. Joslin denied offering the woman an iPhone. Instead, he claimed she’d had several drinks at a restaurant before asking him about marriage. When he said he wasn’t interested, she “got mad and stormed out of the house.” When police told him there was probable cause to arrest him for domestic violence, Mr. Joslin claimed the woman “slapped [him] and [he] pushed her out the door.”

Mr. Joslin has not been charged with a crime, but the Fresno County District Attorney’s Office says the case is currently under investigation.
