Officials from Pardee Hospital in Hendersonville, N.C., and Asheville, N.C.-based Mission Health say they are ready to form a joint venture outpatient facility in Fletcher, N.C., according to a Times-News report.
The current joint venture plan calls for $5 million from Pardee, $15 million from Mission and $25 million from a private developer. The current board of investors wants to promote a larger role for Pardee in the project, and hospital representatives have said they want equal partnership in the facility.
While Pardee has been negotiating with Mission, it is also seeking a potential managerial affiliation with Chapel Hill-based UNC Health Care. Mission also recently struck a deal with Angel Medical Center in Franklin, N.C., which it will now manage.
