There were 83 healthcare industry transactions in June 2015, down from 120 deals in June 2014, according to a report from Irving Levin Associates.
The 83 deals that had been announced as of June 25 totaled $14.8 billion, compared to the $59.2 billion total for the 120 transactions during the same month of last year.
The biggest deal that had been announced as of June 25 was Allergan's $2.1 billion purchase of Kythera Biopharmaceuticals.
