1. TriHealth to buy Oxford hospital
Cincinnati-based TriHealth signed a deal to acquire Oxford, Ohio-based McCullough-Hyde Memorial Hospital after two years of discussion.
2. Nason Hospital signs agreement to join LifePoint Hospitals
Nason Hospital, a 44-bed community hospital in Roaring Spring, Pa., signed an agreement to join Brentwood, Tenn.-based for-profit LifePoint Hospitals.
3. United Memorial Medical Center joins Rochester Regional Health System
United Memorial Medical Center in Batavia, N.Y., and Rochester (N.Y.) Regional Health System officially merged.
4. Mercy Memorial Hospital System joins ProMedica
Mercy Memorial Hospital System in Monroe, Mich., officially joined Toledo, Ohio-based ProMedica and changed its name to ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital.
5. Crittenton Hospital Medical Center moves forward with plans to join Ascension Health
Rochester Hills, Mich.-based Crittenton Hospital Medical Center signed a letter of intent to join St. Louis-based Ascension Health.
6. Capella Healthcare acquires Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center
Franklin, Tenn.-based Capella Healthcare acquired 116-bed Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center in Hartsville, S.C., from subsidiaries of Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems.
