Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare Iowa in Cedar Falls has partnered with Wellmark Blue Cross Blue Shield of Iowa to launch an accountable care organization.
Through the ACO, Wheaton Franciscan Iowa and Wellmark plan to reduce redundant care and services, provide patients with "seamless customer experience" in appointment scheduling and follow-up care and help patients take a more active role in their care delivery.
Wheaton Franciscan Iowa includes three hospitals and 22 clinic locations.
