Urgent Care facility replaces hospital in San Pablo

As San Pablo, Calif.-based Doctors Medical Center closes Tuesday, another facility, the Lifelong Medical Care clinic, opened Monday to help provide patient care in the area, according to ABC 7 News.

Lifelong Medical Care is an urgent care facility and will provide care for patients with non-life threatening injuries. However, the community will have no emergency room after the hospital closes, according to the report.

Medicare and Medi-Cal patients will be accepted at the urgent care facility and patients with no insurance will be billed based on what they can afford, according to the report.
