Two Grand Rapids, Mich.-based physician organizations — West Michigan Physician Network and Physician's Organization of Western Michigan — are planning to form a clinically integrated network, according to the Grand Rapids Business Journal.
The organizations expect the clinically integrated network to have roughly 800 physicians, due to some overlap in membership. WMPN has 440 physician members and POWM has 500 members.
The agreement is expected to be completed over the next several months as the organizations work with Chicago-based law firm Hogan Marren to set quality improvement metrics and legal guidelines, according to the report.
