Hospitals Face Rising Insurance Costs for Employees

Hospitals, like many other businesses, face rising health insurance premiums for employees.

A California survey found that hospitals will pay an average of $10,992 in insurance costs for employees this year, which represents an 11 percent increase over 2010, according to a Los Angeles Times report.

Many hospitals also cover the full cost of insurance for their employees, according to the report, meaning rate increases have even more of an impact of finances.
