Buffalo, N.Y.-based Kaleida Health announced its new women's and children's hospital will be named the John R. Oishei Children's Hospital in honor of a $10 million gift from The John R. Oishei Foundation.
The freestanding hospital will offer specialized pediatric care, labor and deliver, post partum care, a regional perinatal center for high-risk pregnancies and a women's health center, which will include prenatal and gynecological care and a family resource center. Kaleida Health is also building an ambulatory care center that will connect to the new hospital.
The women's health services of the new hospital "will have an additional opportunity for naming possibilities," according to the release.
The facility will be located on the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus and is scheduled to be completed in December 2015.
