Hospital Corporation of America and Adventist Health System are each opening new hospitals in Florida, according to a Tampa Tribune report.
HCA is constructing Medical Center of Trinity (Fla.), which will house 235 beds and replace the current facility in New Port Richey, Fla. That facility will continue its behavioral health operations and emergency services, while all other services will be transferred to Medical Center of Trinity. The new hospital will also operate emergency services.
Meanwhile, Adventist Health is constructing Florida Hospital Wesley Chapel (Fla.), which will feature 80 beds. The HCA and Adventist hospitals are expected to open on Thanksgiving and in fall 2012, respectively.
