Sanford Health, a 58-hospital system based in Sioux Falls, S.D., has appointed Janna Galloway, RN, chief nursing officer of Sanford Bemidji (Minn.).
Ms. Galloway has served Sanford Bemidji for more than 15 years, most recently as director of surgical services. She succeeds Renee Axtman, RN, who has been COO and CNO for Sanford’s market in Bemidji, Minn., since December 2025. Ms. Axtman will continue serving in the COO role, according to a Sept. 24 news release.
Ms. Galloway joined Sanford Health in 2010 as an operating room charge nurse and has held several leadership roles, including perioperative supervisor, perioperative nurse manager, director of quality and interim emergency department director.
