Pittsburgh-based Allegheny Health Network has named three new leaders to its AHN Beaver (Pa.) and AHN Sewickley (Pa.) hospitals, effective Aug. 17.
Duke Rupert will serve as president of both hospitals, with Keith Lorenz as COO and Joshua Miller as CFO, according to an Aug. 10 news release.
The hospitals are part of AHN’s Heritage Valley Health System in Beaver, Pa.
Mr. Rupert succeeds Heritage Valley president and CEO Norm Mitry, who will retire at the end of 2026 as part of the transition. Mr. Mitry has been with the system for more than three decades, including 25 years as president and CEO. He will continue as CEO during the transition to serve in an advisory capacity to Mr. Rupert and his team.
Prior to his new role, Mr. Rupert served as COO of WVU Medicine Camden Clark Medical Center in Parkersburg, W.Va. He also spent more than two decades with AHN in several top leadership positions, including senior vice president of operations for the system.
In his new role, Mr. Rupert will oversee operations, clinical performance, strategic growth and community partnerships at Heritage Valley’s hospitals and affiliated outpatient clinics and physician practices.
Prior to his new role, Mr. Lorenz most recently served as vice president of operations at Pittsburgh-based UPMC Passavant, where he led operational and facility initiatives.
Mr. Miller most recently served as director of finance at AHN Grove City (Pa.) Hospital prior to his new role. He has more than 13 years of healthcare finance leadership experience.
