Partners HealthCare and Samsung Electronics are collaborating to develop personalized digital and mobile solutions for health and wellness, such as remote monitoring programs and self-management tools.
The partnership aims to develop tools so providers have a more holistic picture of a patient's condition and situation.
Partners HealthCare, an integrated health system founded by Boston-based Brigham and Women's and Massachusetts General hospitals, will lead the research end of the initiative, which includes launching a clinical trial in June.
"This project represents the start of how smart technology, intelligent algorithms and world class clinical expertise can be combined to change the paradigm of care delivery," said Kamal Jethwani, MD, senior director of connected health innovation at Partners HealthCare.
