HHS has released its Health IT Patient Safety Action and Surveillance Plan, which is open for public comment through Feb. 4.
The plan builds on HHS' overall commitment to patient safety and addresses recommendations in the 2011 Institute of Medicine report, "Health IT and Patient Safety: Building Safer Systems for Better Care."
