Epic will host more than 20,000 attendees in person for its 2026 Users Group Meeting (UGM) in Verona, Wis., with the General Session drawing over 60,000 total viewers on Tuesday, Aug. 18.

The conference will feature nearly 500 presentations and panel discussions covering AI governance, revenue cycle automation, nursing documentation and rural access, according to Epic. Charité, a Berlin-based academic medical center, will join as the first Epic organization in Germany.

Epic CEO Judy Faulkner will headline the General Session, which includes an end-to-end demonstration of new development work and the vendor’s annual “Cool Stuff Ahead” segment. Key topics will include Curiosity, an AI tool in Epic’s Cosmos research platform that answers population health questions and predicts individual patient risks such as hospital readmission; expanded Healthcare Intelligence tools woven through the outpatient visit; and Agent Factory, Epic’s platform for building and overseeing AI agents that complete tasks autonomously for health systems.

Epic also plans to highlight interoperability gains, noting that 914 million records were exchanged over its Care Everywhere network in June alone, many with non-Epic systems.

“The best part of UGM is seeing thousands of people comparing notes on what they’re doing with Epic — and where they plan to go next,” Erv Walter, senior vice president of research and development at Epic, told Becker’s. “So many of our best ideas come out of conversations that happen in those hallways.”

UGM, held annually on Epic’s Verona campus, is also where the vendor recognizes top-performing customers through its Gold Stars and Honor Roll programs.

At the Becker's 11th Annual IT + Revenue Cycle Conference: The Future of AI & Digital Health, taking place September 14–17 in Chicago, healthcare executives and digital leaders from across the country will come together to explore how AI, interoperability, cybersecurity, and revenue cycle innovation are transforming care delivery, strengthening financial performance, and driving the next era of digital health.
