A growing number of hospitals are adopting Epic, reinforcing the company’s position as the dominant electronic health record vendor in the U.S. hospital market.
Epic expanded its lead in 2025, increasing its share of the acute care hospital EHR market to 43.7%, up from 42.3% in 2024, according to a KLAS report. The company added 77 hospitals and 18,679 beds during the year.
Here are the hospitals going live on Epic in 2026 or 2027, as reported by Becker’s:
- Vanderbilt Clarksville (Tenn.) Hospital will transition to Epic on Oct. 3. The transition is part of the recently acquired hospital’s integration into Nashville, Tenn.-based Vanderbilt Health’s broader network.
- Donaldsonville, La.-based West Ascension Parish Hospital went live with Epic Community Connect on Sept. 1. The critical access hospital has spent the past 11 months preparing for the transition.
- Roseville, Calif.-based Adventist Health has gone live on Epic across 27 hospitals and more than 440 clinics in California, Oregon and Hawaii. The rollout also introduces AI-assisted tools designed to reduce clinical documentation and administrative work.
- Wilmington, Del.-based ChristianaCare will go live on Epic on Oct. 3. The Epic implementation has been underway since the health system’s 2024 decision to switch from its previous EHR platform.
- Miami-based Nicklaus Children’s Health System will go live with Epic in 2027.
- Buffalo, N.Y.-based Kaleida Health went live with Epic on May 30.
- State College, Pa.-based Mount Nittany Health went live with Epic on May 30.
- Spirit Lake, Iowa-based Lakes Regional Healthcare will implement an Epic EHR system May 30.
- The University of Texas at Austin has rolled out Epic at its ambulatory practice.
- Milford (Mass.) Regional went live with UMass Memorial Health’s Epic EHR system April 1. Milford Regional joined UMass Memorial Health in 2024.
- OSF HealthCare Saint Katharine Medical Center in Dixon, Ill., is set to transition to a new electronic health record system April 1.
- Springfield, Mo.-based CoxHealth went live with Epic on March 1 after a two-year implementation.
- Door County Medical Center in Sturgeon Bay, Wis., went live with an Epic EHR system on Feb. 7. The hospital was able to obtain Epic through a partnership with Hospital Sisters Health System, based in Springfield, Ill.
- Cascade (Idaho) Medical Center, a critical access hospital, has implemented an Epic EHR system through OCHIN.
- Five Mississippi hospitals are going live with an Epic EHR Jan. 31. The hospitals include South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel; Magee General Hospital; Covington County Hospital in Collins; Simpson General Hospital in Mendenhall; and Smith County Emergency Hospital in Raleigh.
- MSU Health Care in East Lansing, Mich., is transitioning to Epic’s EHR and billing system Jan. 31 through a new partnership with Henry Ford Health. The shift moves MSU Health Care off athenahealth and onto Henry Ford Health’s Epic infrastructure to support tighter clinical and operational alignment.
