CFOs are executives most likely to hit the road after CEO departure

CEO turnover is on the rise in the healthcare industry, and CFOs are the executives most likely to leave after a CEO, according to a B.E. Smith whitepaper.

Of the more than 300 healthcare executives B.E. Smith surveyed for its analysis, more than  40 percent said CFOs are the members of the C-suite most likely to leave an organization after a CEO departure.

Following closely behind CFOs, more than 35 percent of respondents said the COO is the executive most likely to leave after the CEO, and more than 25 percent of respondents said the CNO is the executive most likely to leave.
