Fortune has released its annual list of the 500 companies that generated the most revenue in the previous fiscal year, and this year, the list contains seven healthcare organizations.
Below are the healthcare organizations that made the list:
1. Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Holdings was ranked No. 79. The organization generated $38 billion in revenues and had $1.6 billion in profits.
2. Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems was ranked No. 192. The organization generated $15 billion in revenues and had $141 million in profits.
3. Dallas, Texas-based Tenet Healthcare was ranked No. 229. The organization generated $12.1 billion in revenues and had a deficit of $134 million.
4. Denver, Colo.-based DaVita HealthCare Partners was ranked No. 230. The organization generated nearly $12.1 billion in revenues and posted $633 million profits.
5. King of Prussia, Pa.-based Universal Health Services was ranked No. 324. The organization had $8.5 billion in revenues and posted $511 million in profits.
6. Nashville, Tenn.-based Vanguard Health Systems was ranked No. 388. The organization had $6.7 billion in revenues and had $62 million in profits.
7. Louisville, Ky.-based Kindred Healthcare was ranked No. 441. The organization had $5.8 billion in revenues and posted a deficit of $169 million.
