Google is continuing to expand its use of artificial intelligence technologies in healthcare, and hospitals and health systems have already begun piloting the tech giant's new offerings that focus on eliminating administrative burdens and personalizing the patient experience.
Here are three health systems piloting Google's new AI offerings:
- Edison, N.J.-based Hackensack Meridian Health will use Ekam, a Google Cloud-based data platform, and Google Cloud's Vertex AI platform to reduce administrative workload, support clinical decision-making and help personalize the patient experience.
- Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare has started using generative artificial intelligence technology from Google to document emergency room visits and speed up nurse handoffs.
- Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo Clinic partnered with Google Cloud on a generative artificial intelligence application to improve outcomes, researcher and clinical workflows.
