Jackson, Tenn.-based West Tennessee Healthcare will open its new Bolivar Hospital on Nov. 9, as construction on the replacement facility enters its final stages, Hatchie Press reported Sept. 28.
The new facility will replace West Tennessee Healthcare Bolivar Hospital, which was built in 1974. It will have six inpatient beds and 12 emergency department rooms, up from nine emergency rooms at the current facility, according to the report.
The new hospital will double its number of negative-pressure isolation rooms and will also feature upgraded imaging and diagnostic technology.
Existing outpatient services will move to the new site, including sleep lab, cardiac rehabilitation, swing-bed and physical therapy services, according to the report.
