Christopher C. Colenda, MD. President and CEO of West Virginia United Health System Fairmont (Fairmont). Prior to his appointment as president and CEO of WV United Health System in January 2014, Dr. Colenda was chancellor for health sciences at the university. Under his chancellorship, the School of Public Health was created, as was the National Institutes of Health-funded West Virginia Clinical and Translational Science Institute. He has previously held leadership positions at the Texas A&M Health Science Center in College Station, Michigan State University in East Lansing, Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, N.C., and the Medical College of Virginia/Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond.
