The National Quality Forum's Measure Applications Partnership is accepting comments on a preliminary list of about 130 potential quality measures through Dec. 7. The measures are under consideration for use in hospital and other Medicare public reporting and payment programs.
Sixty of the measures are under consideration for use in the new physician Merit-Based Incentive Payment System, created by MACRA, according the America Hospital Association. The MAP is seeking comments on provider experiences with the proposed measures, whether they would improve outcomes, add value or create reporting burdens due to unnecessary data collection. After the comment period closes, MAP workgroups will issue draft recommendations open for public comment through late December. Final recommendations will be delivered to HHS by Feb. 1. More information on the MAP process is available here.
