James K. Reed, MD, MBA, has become the first person to hold the newly consolidated position of president and CEO of St. Peter's Health Partners in Albany, N.Y.
Dr. Reed was previously the president and CEO of Northeast Health. St. Peter's Health Partners was formed on Oct. 1, 2011, by the merger of St. Peter's Health Care Services, Northeast Health and Seton Health.
Dr. Reed has a master's degree in business administration from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. He earned his medical degree from Cornell University Medical College in New York City.
His appointment comes after the retirement of Steven P. Boyle, who served as CEO of St. Peter's Health Partners and president and CEO of St. Peter's Hospital in New Brunswick, N.J.
